Brother Jim Dalrymple is Knight of the Month for April 2026 Brother Jim is an active and committed member of the OLP Life Safety Team, where he consistently demonstrates care, vigilance, and a strong sense of responsibility for the well being of others. His quiet reliability and servant leadership exemplify the principles of the Knights of Columbus. Jim’s work on the council’s two $1,000 Scholarship Awards for graduating students helped ensure a smooth, fair, and successful process that supports and encourages young people as they take the next step in their education—living out the Knights’ commitment to charity and support of youth. In addition, Brother Jim’s service as Webmaster for Council 11730 has been outstanding. He has dedicated significant time and talent to maintaining and improving the council’s webpage, keeping members informed, engaged, and connected through timely updates and clear communication. As a Trustee, Jim has provided exceptional leadership and steady guidance, particularly during the recent council elections. His attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to proper procedures were instrumental in ensuring a successful transition and continued strength of the council.
Lady Karen and Brother Sir Knight Angelo Pinterpe are our Family of the Month for April 2026. Lady Karen faithfully serves through multiple parish and diocesan ministries. As a dedicated member of the Ladies Auxiliary, she is always ready to support parish and council activities. Her compassionate heart is evident in her involvement with Our Lady of the Pines Respect Life ministry and Walking with Moms, where she helps support and encourage mothers and families in need. Karen also gives her time and talents to the Funeral Meals Ministry, offering comfort and care to grieving families during some of their most difficult moments. Brother Sir Knight Angelo is an active and committed Knight, belonging to Council 11730 and the 4th Degree Assembly 3049 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. His dedication to the Order was especially evident through his instrumental involvement in the Knights of Columbus Colorado State Convention, where his efforts helped ensure a successful and well-organized event for brother Knights and families across the state. Angelo also demonstrates his strong devotion to prayer through his regular participation in the First Saturday Rosary at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, honoring veterans and uniting the faithful in prayer each month.
We are proud to recognize Brother Mike Fortner as our Knight of the Month for May 2026. Mike’s dedication to the Knights of Columbus spans over 30 years, having first joined the Order in February 1996. Throughout these three decades of service, he has consistently exemplified the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism, making a lasting impact on both our council and parish community. During the month of May, Mike demonstrated his continued commitment through his participation in the burrito preparation and sales, contributing his time and effort to support council initiatives and fellowship activities. Beyond his contributions to the Knights, Mike is deeply involved in the life of Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church. He serves faithfully in several vital ministries, including: Leader of the Stephen Ministry, offering guidance, compassion, and support to those in need; Proclaimer, sharing God’s Word with clarity and reverence; and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, assisting in the sacred distribution of the Eucharist
We recognize the Baase family—Brother Solomon (Sol), his wife Rachel, and their children Trapt, Revv, and Eastyn—as our Family of the Month for May 2026. Brother Sol Baase is a shining example of faith in action. He faithfully serves as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and as a welcoming presence in the parish through his role as a Welcome Center greeter. Sol is also answering the call to the diaconate, demonstrating his desire to continue growing in service to the Church and to Christ. Rachel Baase’s dedication and leadership are evident across multiple ministries. She leads the video camera ministry, coordinating volunteers who make it possible for parishioners to participate in Masses, funerals, and weddings through live streaming. Beyond this, Rachel is actively involved in Vacation Bible School, Faith Formation, and Charity and Social Outreach ministries, giving generously of her time and talents to nurture faith and support those in need. The Baase children are equally committed to serving their parish. Trapt contributes as a video camera ministry volunteer, assisting in the vital work of broadcasting services. Revv serves faithfully as an altar server, assisting at the altar with reverence and dedication. Eastyn supports the visual ministry during Mass, helping create a meaningful and engaging worship experience for the congregation. Together, the Baase family exemplifies the true spirit of the domestic church, living out the values of faith, service, and unity.
