Knight of the Month: Sir Knight Charley Walker has exemplified exceptional leadership and steadfast dedication to the mission of the Knights of Columbus. As our Worthy Warden, Charley plays a vital role in the life of Council 11730. He oversees property management and ensures the seamless setup of our meeting chambers and ceremonial spaces. His responsibilities include supervising the council’s property, preparing the environment for gatherings, and leading the Inside and Outside Guards who manage access during our events. Charley’s presence is a constant source of strength and reliability. He is a familiar face at our monthly Fellowship Breakfast, always ready to lend a hand. He was among the first to volunteer for the Ministry Fair, helping to showcase the Council’s good works and welcome new members into our fold. Each month, Charley prepares the Parish Hall for the sale of nearly 700 burritos—a task he undertakes without fail. His tireless efforts behind the scenes make these events possible and successful. Charley leads the Keep Christ in Christmas Poster initiative, encouraging parish youth to express their faith through art. In recognition of his outstanding service and unwavering commitment to the Knights’ guiding principles of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity, we honor him as Council 11730’s Knight of the Month.

Family of the Month: The Castinado Family beautifully embodies the four pillars of the Knights of Columbus mission: Faith, Family, Community, and Life. Michelle and Brother Al Castinado are deeply devoted members of our parish, actively engaged in a wide array of parish and community initiatives. Brother Al is a committed Knight, currently serving another Council—though we believe he truly belongs with us. Within OLP, he is a steadfast presence, serving faithfully as an Acolyte, Sacristan, and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. His dedication and quiet leadership enrich our parish life in countless ways. Michelle brings equal devotion through her recent membership to the OLP Ladies Auxiliary. She serves as a Sacristan, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and Lead for the Homebound Ministry, offering heartfelt care to our homebound parishioners. Together, Al and Michelle exemplify unity, service, and spiritual strength. In recognition of their exceptional service and unwavering commitment to the values of the Knights and Ladies Auxiliary, we are honored to name the Castinado Family as our Family of the Month.

STATE Knight of the Month: Sir Knight Gary Hall was selected from all the councils in Colorado as the State’s Knight of the Month. That is an amazing level of recognition. To see the award nomination, please visit
