Family of the Month is the Suerdieck Family. They are faithful and devoted members of Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church, and they beautifully embody the four pillars of the Knights of Columbus—Faith, Family, Community, and Life. Their commitment to living these values is evident in the many ways they serve, support, and enrich our parish. Brent, Rosie, Dani, William and Grant are active parishioners whose presence is felt throughout parish life.
Brother Brent, daughter Dani, and sons, William and Grant, all support our masses as Hospitality Ministers. William is also a proclaimer sharing the words of salvation and the Gospel message. Dani makes an occasional showing in the choir. Brother Brent has a deep passion for helping others discern their charisms and grow in discipleship. He actively supports formation initiatives such as Called and Called on Fire Lead—programs inspired by Bishop Barron and Word on Fire that help spread the Catholic faith through digital and traditional media.
As a family, Suerdieck’s regularly volunteer at parish events and community gatherings. Their spirit of unity, generosity, and active discipleship strengthens our parish community. They are assisting our Parish Youth in making possible a Teen Camping Trip.
For their extraordinary service, their dedication to the life of the parish, and their unwavering commitment to the values of the Knights of Columbus, we are proud to recognize the Suerdieck Family as our Family of the Month.

Brother Don Koveleski is Knight of the Month. He has demonstrated outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to the Knights of Columbus mission. Don played a key role in organizing the pre-cook preparations and supporting the Burrito Preparation and Sales efforts. These efforts enable the team to prepare and sell 710 burritos, the largest our council every produced. Don was among the 32 brothers who contributed to the effort, providing a combined 139 volunteer hours in service to our parish community. As we have been celebrating our Lenten journey—centered on prayer, fasting, and almsgiving—this event exemplified the spirit of almsgiving in action. Gross sales totaled $2,534.52, representing 18 trays or 710 burritos. After expenses $1,618.40 will go toward our council’s budgeted $4,000 contribution to support OLP Youth Activities.
In addition, Don volunteered as one of the 22 brothers who volunteered at the Lenten Fish Fry held before the Stations of the Cross. The event welcome an estimated 130 Parish members who joined in fellowship.
Don also answered the call to serve by taking over the General Store to provide high-quality shirts, nametags, and other items—support we all greatly appreciate. He recently took on an initiative with a local company to update our council logo in accordance with new guidance from Supreme, and he will be delivering the redesigned version soon.
For his exceptional service and steadfast commitment to the Knights’ core principles of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity, we proudly recognize Don Koveleski as Knight of the Month.
